Electric Vehicles: Beginning on July 1, 2026, HMS Commuter Services will begin recovering the cost of providing EV charging services.  Charging will be billed based on usage at a rate of $0.35 per kwh for the first two hours of charging session and $0.50 per kWh thereafter.  These rates are intended to cover the costs associated with electricity and ongoing maintenance of the charging stations.  Those that have registered an electric vehicle will be required to reserve specified time for charging their vehicle.  Those with a registered electric vehicle may charge up to four hours.  Those parking at the ev station beyond four hours are subject to a parking violation.

Additionally, in an effort to provide an opportunity for all registered electric vehicle owners to charge their vehicles, effective July 1, 2026 all registered EV owners will be required to reserve an EV space in advance using the parking registration system. System settings will be consistent with posted signage to allow for up to 4 hours of charging per session per day. Vehicles charging beyond the assigned four hour period or parked in a space not previously reserved will be subject to parking violations.  Click here to reserve EV charging space https://internal.parking.med.harvard.edu/parking/Login.aspx
