HMS partners with Restaurant Associates (RA) as on-site dining management company, a member of the Compass Group. RA is already taking significant steps to support sustainable and healthful food standards. Sustainable seafood is sourced using the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch standards, and a sustainability scorecard is maintained to track these purchases. Compostable serviceware, including BPI-certified plates, utensils, cups, and containers, is used across all dining areas to reduce waste sent to the landfill and environmental impact. 

Education and food literacy are prioritized through Virtual Teaching Kitchen classes that focus on sustainable, plant-forward meals. Waste reduction efforts are supported by participation in food donation programs to local organizations. 

Animal welfare is a key consideration of Restaurant Associates with commitments to purchasing cage-free eggs, antibiotic-free poultry, and sustainably sourced seafood. HMS also focuses on fair trade and eco-friendly purchasing, ensuring that 100% of the coffee served is eco/fair trade certified.
